When we were just friends

Writing these blog’s make me think and look back and confront me with some of the similarity’s the boy that have crossed my paths have.
This one is, again, a macho one. Quite full of himself. I think this one was the most full of himself of all of them. He spend loads more time in the shower then I did. That should have been a sign for me.
Ow and now I think of it…he wasn’t the most monogamous one either. Sorry girls.
Our first contact was when I was around 17. I started going out and met him a few times while going out. I thought he was quite attractive. Funny, because I don’t think I would think that now. I guess charisma and me being young and bashful had something to do with that.
But when I got back from my year overseas we became friends. It started when I came back and we met up to look at my photo album. Remember my previous blog, with the real paper written letters. This was a real photo album with printed photo’s that I glued in to a album. Yes, that’s how we did it back in the days. No digital stuff.
He was living together with his girlfriend at that moment. So we weren’t meeting at his house. Of course! We were driving in his car. He started to touch my leg and right then (telepathy) his girlfriend phoned. He signed me to be quiet.
Not long after, the girlfriend became ex-girlfriend. She moved out.
After a while we started hanging out quite a lot. We went out clubbing, went to the gym, to the beach, watched movies, and had dinners together. We had a lot of fun together. The friendship grew  closer and closer.
Even though we did everything that people do when they are dating, we didn’t have a ‘love’ relationship. We where friends.  I would stay over at his place, but we never slept together. I don’t even think we ever kissed. I did start to like him. Sometimes he tried to make a move but I didn’t wane go there. I was happy with the friendship. And because I knew what kind of ‘man’ he was I didn’t want to go there and get hurt (smart girl is was hahaha). A few times I slept in his bed, way on the other side. Nothing ever happened.
Then there was a situation with my best friend. It had something to do with him trying to wrap her around his finger.
Here comes the clue: To make himself look good, he told her that I wanted to sleep with him and he rejected me. A men rejecting sex with a women who´s in his bed! You think so!? That’s what I mean!

But the real clue of this story is that no man should have the balls to try and come between two friends and set them up to each other with lies! Especially not if you call yourself a friend.
I’m still very grateful that he didn’t succeed! Thats what I call thru friendship!
